We are looking forward to another successful year. Go Tigers! Chris Duncan | Principal Good Afternoon Parents,
I want to take this opportunity to welcome each of you to the 18-19 school year. As we end a great first week, I wanted to let you know about important issues beginning on Monday. As you know, our school day begins at 7am and student tardies will begin being issued on Monday. We try to give everyone the first week to acclimate to our traffic patterns. Please be aware that traffic begins to back up around 6:20am and is steady until about 7am. Please be mindful of this as you make plans to have your child in class by 7am. Today, we had our grade level meetings with all 4 grade levels and explained what would help the students have a successful year. Included, were expectations for Dress Code, Discipline, and Guidance procedures. Dress Code will be enforced beginning Monday and generally if there are questions about an outfit, please do not wear it. Please mark your calendars for Open House/Curriculum night on August 28th. It will begin promptly at 6pm in the Auditorium. If we can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to ask. As always, Go Tigers! Chris Duncan- Principal Good evening parents,
Another school year has come to an end. What a fantastic one it has been! We have learned much together and shared experiences that will long remain for years to come. As we are nearing the end of the school year, we wanted to share a few reminders around exams:
Fine Arts and Athletic Events can be found on the AHS website or by clicking here. Thank you and Go Tigers! Chris Duncan | Principal Good morning Parents,
Over the next few days we will be meeting with students who are not registered for the 2018-19 school year. Course requests for students who are not registered by next Friday, May 4 will be dropped. Course offerings and staffing are dependent on enrollment numbers obtained from spring registration, and it is important all current students complete the enrollment process by next Friday. Late registration is held each Wednesday between 7:30am-10:30am through May 23, 2018. Any current student who registers after May 4 will have to complete the course selection process again. Proofs of residence will be needed for both spring enrollment AND August verification. Visit the ACS website for acceptable proofs. Please note proofs of residence can be sent via your student. Today we continue EOC testing, and attached is our April/May At-A-Glance which includes dates for EOC and AP testing, as well as final exams. Please make sure your student is well rested and eats a healthy breakfast to help prepare them to end the year on a positive note. Just a reminder we are no longer accepting checks. If your student has a fine or needs to make a payment, cash or money orders will be accepted. Save the date:
